Due to the fast track nature of the project, QM designed a quick to assemble facia and soffit system requiring minimal site adjustment in order to clad the balconies for this prestigious residential and office development.
Working closely with the glazing contractor, and providing advice on the curtain walling screen dimensions enabled QM to fabricate this striking entrance feature which adorns several 5-a-side football centres.
This major residential project in the heart of Leeds city centre had numerous balconies which required soffit and sidewall cladding along with a substantial quantity of parapet copings.
In addition to providing the facia and soffit system to the eaves of this office development, the architect also required elliptical shaped feature columns in stainless steel. Using 3D CAD software, the columns were solid modelled for approval by the architect prior to manufacture. This meant the approved drawing could be quickly adapted into the finished product.
Using our tried and tested concealed gutter and wide eaves design enabled QM to quickly complete several office blocks concurrently. By working closely with the joinery contractor any potential problems with site setting-out were eliminated before installation commenced.
Due to the complex nature of the building's curvature, QM designed and manufactured the internal fixing structure for this facia and soffit system, supported from the main steelwork. Using laser technology QM were able to take accurate curve information, enabling manufacture to take place prior to brickwork completion.
Following the installation of the facia / soffit and rainwater system, our client requested we provide a covering for the curved entrance canopies in this two storey office development. After taking on site dimensions and patterns QM were able to accurately reproduce the curve of the structure in aluminium, providing the finishing touch.
This art gallery in Leeds benefitted from a revamped facia and soffit system provided by QM. Douglas fir timber boards were installed above the window heads, along with our secret fix planked soffit. The upper facia and capping were fitted to minimize the appearance of visible fixings, giving a more aesthetically appealing finish.
These curved feature 'fins' were the finishing touch to the entrances at this retail park. The framework was installed by the steelwork contractor and QM installed the outer skin. It was designed in such a way to allow maximum tolerance in order to conceal small inconsistencies in the framework.
In a striking red powder coat finish, this project bucked the architectural trend for safe, neutral colours providing a prominent feature around the eaves to the main entrance.
